Tax services in Manila are happy to announce that as of December 1, Filipinos can now breeze through the process with the newly launched Digital TIN portal. 

This innovative feature is seamlessly integrated into the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS), making the whole experience quick and efficient. It also makes it easier for every Pinoy to fulfill their obligations effortlessly. Here’s how you can secure your digital TIN below: 

Step 1: Prepare for Registration

Before diving into the Digital TIN ID journey, make sure you have the following in check:

Pre-Registration Requirements (for Taxpayers with TIN):

  • Update your Email Address: Ensure your email address is up to date by submitting a Registration Update Sheet to your Revenue District Office or RDO
  • An alternative option is to do this through the BIR’s eServices – Taxpayer Registration Related Application Portal.

Step 2: Registering for Taxpayers with TIN

For taxpayers with an existing number who have completed the pre-registration requirements, follow these steps:

1. Head to ORUS.

2. Select “New Registration”: Choose between “As an Individual” and “As a Non-Individual” for tailored processes.

3. Click “Create an Account” (blue tab).

4. Fill in the required fields: Choose “With Existing TIN” and provide your 9-digit TIN, without dashes, along with your complete personal details.

5. Create a password.

6. Pass the CAPTCHA test.

7. Click “Register.”

Step 3: Registering for Taxpayers without TIN

Even if you’re yet to obtain your TIN, the ORUS has you covered. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Go to ORUS.

2. Select “New Registration” and choose the applicable option.

3. Fill in the required fields: Choose “Without Existing TIN” and complete the necessary personal details.

4. Create a password.

5. Pass the CAPTCHA test.

6. Click “Register.”

Important Notes to Remember:

  • Ensure you submit clear photos of yourself during the registration process.
  • Avoid uploading unrelated images like animals, artists, or cartoons, as this may lead to penalties.
